Operation: Spatial is a blog dedicated to GIS stuff– and other stuff, too.
Chris DiMeo has been a map weenie since his single-digit age days, often thumbing through National Geographics and Smithsonian magazines. He’s been in the GIS/Mapping industry for over 17 years.
Chris has experience in spatial database and GIS application development, web development, systems and business analysis, and project management services. He has experience in and is conversant on many GIS platforms (ESRI, Oracle Spatial, Google, Open Source, etc.).
He was weened on geodesy, coordinate system conversions and reprojection mathematics.
Currently, Chris is a Tech Lead with Telvent (Miner and Miner) working to implement the ArcFM Solution in the Utilities industry.
When he’s not neck-deep in spatial muckery, you’ll find him consumed in one of many addictions including saltwater fly-fishing, powerlifting, white-water rafting, photograpy/digital imagery, playing guitar, rock hounding, or eating.
Chris resides in central Maine along the mighty Kennebec River and is uncomfortable referring to himself in the third-person.
